Hey there, you gorgeous creature!
I’m Kylie Pax!
I’m the sassy diva you see swanning around on the internet better known as Australia’s Emotional-Eating Coach.
Oh yeah, and I’m also an ex-fad dieter who broke up with emotional eating and lost 20 kilos (and all without brain surgery, hypnosis or that pin-pricking thing they do…)
Sounds simple, right?
Well, it wasn’t…
How did I get here?
It has taken me years to come to terms with it, but it’s true… when it comes to your diet, if it’s not working for you, then it’s also plotting your evil demise.
I spent over 30 years yo-yo dieting and hating my body for not looking like the models in the magazines (yup, sad but true. It’s right up there with my other obsessions that got me nowhere such as cutting bangs and immediately growing them out and wishing eating Krispy Kremes would grow me a Kardashian booty)
Every Monday I started a fancy new diet, but by Tuesday afternoon, I was elbow deep in cookie crumbs and wondering where I went wrong??!!
Night after night I sat in front of the TV, eating Doritos for dinner and wishing the magic fat loss fairy would leave Angelina Jolie alone and visit meeeee!
Every morning I would shuffle to the bathroom scales for a fresh dose of self judgement.
I was either dieting or binge eating. There was no in-between for me.
I get it.
I understand what it’s like because I’ve lived it.
I don’t know about you, but I never want to count another calorie again.
I never want to weigh my food, count calories, fat grams or grit my teeth through another fad diet. (I’m looking at you, cabbage soup diet!)
So what did I do?
And now? Well, now I’m ’bout to show you how you can do it too (insert maniacally excited “sqweeeee!!” here).
Let’s face it, this is not rocket science…
You want to ditch emotional eating and lose weight? Just eat more fruit and veggies and eat less Snickers bars, right?
So, why can’t you do it?
Is it because peanut butter brownies are yummier than living in your dream body? A body that you actually feel GOOD in? Can MOVE in? Not to mention being able to wear jeans that accentuate your smokin’ hot booty?
No. Of course not.
It’s because all your life you were told that if you wanted to lose weight, then you’d better suck it up, put on your “big girl pants” and go on a diet.
If Diets Worked we would not be having this conversation.
I counted fat grams, calories, carbs and points. Seriously, I should have my own science degree by now (and my high school teacher said I’d never amount to anything… who’s laughing now!)
I believed that if I could just stop behaving like such a fat, ice-cream guzzling, choc-a-holic failure, I could lose weight for sure.
But I couldn’t.
And when people would tell me to use more “willpower”, I wanted to smack ’em in the head!
Are you for real?!!
I would have eaten bean shoots dipped in monkey urine if I thought it would make me skinny!
Willpower was definitely not my problem.
I had willpower out the wazoo. How else do you think I could keep dieting after 30 years of epic FAILURE. I mean, only an IDIOT would keep keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result, right?
But here’s the secret that no one else will tell you…
A diet will NEVER solve your weight loss woes.
What it WILL do is keep you stuck in an emotional eating nightmare and wondering how you can turn sweat pants into an acceptable form of clothing at the office Christmas party.
Finally I realised that every diet was followed by a huge-ass binge.
Diet’s are like those green M&M’s. You know the ones.
You can tell from the outside that they’re shady, but you can’t resist finding out what they’re made of anyway.
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that when it comes to staying motivated to break up with emotional eating and lose weight, you have to keep your eye on the ball
(Unless that ball looks like a green M&M, in which case you should look away immediately)
Ditch the Diet Bootcamp is the perfect guide for any woman who has ever tried to diet and failed (and then tried some more and failed again and then tried harder… okay, you get the idea)
If you’ve ever promised yourself that this time will be different, Ditch the Diet is for you.
If you’ve ever started a new diet on Monday and binged on Tuesday, Ditch the Diet is for you.
If you’ve ever been seduced by the latest fad diet with the promise of looking like a supermodel overnight, then Ditch the Diet is for you.
It took me years to realise that even the cover models don’t really look like cover models (I think they may actually be very well disguised Hobbits) and all I ever wanted was to look like the most kick-ass version of ME that I could be!
I have helped over 600 women break up with emotional eating, LOSE WEIGHT and finally be able to stand next to a chocolate cake without wanting to roll around in it, naked.
If you’re ready to ditch the crazy fad diets and live a life where you can’t stop staring at yourself in the mirror because, for the first time in your life, you LOVE what you see (no filter required), then you know what to do next…
It’s all about creating a PERMANENT lifestyle shift.
And DEFINITELY no diets!
I did it and so can you.
Oodles of love,
