Today we’re talking about the 3 Root Causes Of Night-Time Bingeing.


There could be several reasons why you do this but today we’re covering the main three. In this episode I share how to move past the restriction cycle, the method I use for switching out negative thoughts (aka. the voice in your head that tells you to eat eighteen blocks of chocolate at night!), and how to switch off the cravings after dinner.

1.Restriction/deprivation:
Imagine you need to make $70k per year to pay your bills and live comfortably. But from jan-nov you only make 20k. The year is almost over. Bills piling up. You start freaking the fk out!! This is exactly how your body feels when you run around like a crazy person all day but don’t feed it! Fuel your body during the day so it doesn’t panic at night!

2.Thoughts:
If you get home at night and your thoughts are telling you to eat choc to feel better you can learn to treat those thoughts as an opinion. Yes, eating the choc is an option but what’s the counter thought? Caveat: counter needs to meet 2 conditions: it needs to be or feel true, and it needs to be more convincing than the previous argument.
Litmus test: does this get me more of what I want?

3.Emotions:
Feelings/emotions have a 90-sec life span. Stop at intervals throughout the day and place your hand on your heart and take 3 deep breaths – otherwise your body will force you to eat so you can chill the fk out!
