No? Maybe it was just me then. 

I’m Kylie Pax, the sassy diva you see swanning around on the internet, better known as Australia’s Emotional Eating Coach. Oh yeah, and I’m also an ex-fad dieter who broke up with emotional eating and lost 20 kilos (and all without brain surgery, hypnosis or that pin-pricking thing they do…)

Sounds simple, right? Well, it wasn’t…


How did I get here?

For most of my life I was either smashing out a new diet or binge eating like it was an Olympic sport.

I didn’t WANT to be that way, but the harder I tried to eat salad with no dressing (too many calories, am I right?) the harder I binged on the sly.



I spent over 30 years yo-yo dieting and hating my body for not looking like the models in the magazines.

It’s right up there with my other obsessions that got me nowhere, such as believing cellulite creams actually work (FYI… they don’t) and that leg-warmers don’t look like giant caterpillars have eaten your calves (FYI… they do).


Every Monday I started a fancy new diet, but by Tuesday afternoon, I was elbow deep in cookie crumbs and wondering where I went wrong??!!


Night after night I sat in front of the TV, eating Doritos for dinner and wishing the magic fat loss fairy would leave Angelina Jolie alone and visit meeeee!



Every morning I would shuffle to the bathroom scales for a fresh dose of self judgement.

I was either binge eating or dieting. There was no in-between for me. I understand what it’s like because I’ve lived it.


Finally I decided, I never wanted to diet (or binge eat) again.

I never wanted to weigh my food, count calories or try to “distract myself” to avoid bingeing.

So what did I do? I decided to do the exact opposite of everything I had done before, Ditch the Diet and FINALLY set myself free.

And now? Well, now I’m ’bout to show you how you can do it too (yup, that’s just the kind of girl that I am).



Let’s face it, the diet industry has made this way too difficult…


So, you want to quit binge eating and lose weight? Just eat more fruit and veggies, right? So, why can’t you do it? 

Is it because sugar is addictive? You have a slow metabolism? Thyroid issues? A wombat attached to your booty?

No (let all the wombats of the world rejoice)

The reason you diet is because you binge and the reason you binge is because you diet. Simple.


Another diet is not the answer.

Diet’s are like those green M&M’s. You know the ones. 

You can tell from the outside that they’re shady, but you can’t resist finding out what they’re made of anyway.

If there’s one thing I know, it’s that when it comes to staying motivated to break up with emotional eating and lose weight, you have to keep your eye on the ball (Unless that ball looks like a green M&M, in which case you should look away immediately)


I realised I had to take back control of my mind, my body and my life.

Food ruled my thoughts from the moment I woke up until the moment I went to bed. I was obsessed with it. I was scared of it. But mostly, I was sad about it. And from that place of desiring more for myself, my body and my happiness… Ditch the Diet was born.
