Round 1. of the Ditch the Diet Workshop is over and what a time it was!
Two cities, ten beautiful ladies all taking time out of their busy schedules to go after their dreams, reach for what they KNOW is possible and then MAKE IT HAPPEN!
So, what’s all the fuss about?
Ditching the Diet is all about setting yourself free.
Free from the drama of diets.
Free from the bondage of self loathing.
Free from the struggle of trying to reach an unattainable image of perfection.
We are women. We are strong, brave and courageous. And THAT’S what makes us beautiful!
What did we do?
We started the day with a Centering Meditation.
This is such a great practice to help you distance yourself from the business of your life and bring you back into the present moment.
We worked our way through the 5 steps of my Ditch the Diet Eating Code. The WHAAAT??!! The Eating Code, baby! It’s the answer to your weight loss prayers!
The Eating Code is the answer to every emotional eaters dream. I like to think of it as my 5 Steps to Freedom! It’s a simple set of guidelines to help you overcome emotional eating and set yourself free to actually start enjoying your life and your relationship with food!
What did we eat?
The Adelaide Workshop was held at Paleo Cafe, in Hyde Park, and can I just say… WOW! The food was absolutely delicious, super healthy and fresh, fresh, fresh! Big love goes to Bec and Michael, the owners of Paleo Cafe, for putting on such an amazing spread! It was just the perfect opportunity to practice “conscious eating”.
Conscious eating is all about, eating with awareness, enjoyment and attention, rather than running our own personal contest to see how quickly we can shove food into our mouths! Sure we’re all busy, but don’t you deserve a small chunk of your day to really pay attention to what you’re eating? To extract every last morsel of pleasure from your food? Especially when it’s this good!
What did we learn?
Really, the question should be… what DIDN’T we learn!
We learnt WHY another diet or meal plan is NOT the solution to ending the struggle with our weight and how to eliminate self-sabotaging food clutter from our lives. The Eating Code was absolutely ADORED by the participants and everybody left with an array of my very fave whole food recipes (OMG… definitely drool worthy!)
Many of the participants said they felt as though a weight has been lifted and they FINALLY felt as though they have a clear direction and enthusiasm that they hadn’t felt in a long time!
Another beautiful lady said she plans to write out copies of the Eating Code and stick them all over her house so the next time she is tempted to eat when she’s not hungry, she can simply refer to the Eating Code and know EXACTLY which steps to take to send those kilos dancing back to Boogie Wonderland!
The day was full of love, laughter and even a few tears, but THIS is what true breakthrough is all about.
