I didn’t ask for you opinion about my body
I didn’t ask for your opinion about the way my body looks…
I’ve had a few men recently private messaging me, telling me I’m too skinny.
And that’s fine. You’re entitled to your opinion.
But seeing as I didn’t ask for it, there is really no need for you to share it with ME.
As many of you know, I spent the better part of my life ranging from grossly overweight to “I think I can hide it if I strategically place this jumper around my waist” kind of overweight.
Neither was fun.
And nobody said a word to me about it.
What’s interesting is that NOW, just because I’ve lost the weight, people think they can FREELY COMMENT ON MY BODY and I’M SUPPOSED TO BE OK WITH THAT?!!
Years of hardcore dieting ate away at my muscles.
I’m not blind.
I can see it just the same way you can.
I KNOW my arms are thin.
I DON’T need people to point it out for me.
And just for those of you who STILL think it’s about eating more food, it’s not.
It’s not about EATING MORE or EATING LESS. It’s about EATING SMARTER.
I’m going to the gym for the first time in years to try to build muscle.
I’m consulting with trained nutritionists to find out how much protein works for ME.
But this is MY journey.
And I have to travel it MY way.
So the next time you consider sharing your opinion about another woman’s body with her, think twice.
We’re well aware of how we look.
We have enough battles dealing with the voices in our OWN heads.
We certainly don’t need you to add YOURS to the mix.
To all my STRONG, AMAZING women out there… do YOUR THING.
NEVER let anyone (male or female) throw their own sh*t at YOU.
