Hey, girl!…
Are you bingeing or just overeating?
It’s natural to eat a little extra from time to time. It’s not natural to feel a complete loss of control around food or feel unable to keep certain trigger foods in the house.
It’s natural to want to taste certain foods when given the opportunity, even if you’re not physically hungry. It’s not natural to hide chocolate and treats from the kids and then eat them in secret when no one else is looking.
Overeating and binge eating are not the same thing.
What’s important to know is that neither one makes you a bad person.
You are a strong, capable, focused woman who is turning to food for a little time out.
And after the year we had in 2020 who can blame you?
But…
If it’s happening in secret,
If it’s interfering with your lifestyle,
If you are cancelling plans with friends because you are not comfortable with your body or,
If you generally feel like you need to stick to your eating routine or you will lose control…
It’s probably not okay anymore.
Now is the time to step up and make a commitment to yourself.
No one else. Just YOU.
Because the next year *will* pass. Do you really want to be having the same conversation with yourself this time next year?
As a sister who has lived the emotional eating and weight gain rollercoaster for over 30 years, I HEAR YOU.
You got this, girl.
I believe in you.
