My life was one long food obsession. From the moment I woke up in the morning I was thinking about all the food I wanted to eat, and how I could avoid eating it. It was painful. It was stressful. And worst of all, it affected everything.

I spent thirty years either smashing out a new diet or binge eating like it was an Olympic sport. I didn’t WANT to be that way, but the harder I tried to eat salad with no dressing (too many calories, am I right?) the harder I binged on the sly. Every Monday I started a fancy new diet, but by Tuesday afternoon, I was elbow deep in cookie crumbs and wondering where I went wrong?!

 

The weight loss industry told me to just try another diet. But the harder I dieted, the harder I binged. Why? Was it because sugar is addictive? I had a slow metabolism? Thyroid issues? A wombat attached to my booty? No. It was none of those reasons (let all the wombats of the world rejoice)

Eventually I had to stop. And wonder. How the heck did I end up in this position and what’s more… how do I get out?

When I first took back control of my life, my body and my relationship with food, small daily steps where what I focused on. I was done with the “fresh start” every Monday.   • I’m a Vegan / Vegetarian / Paleo / GF / Don’t Give a Sh*t, eater. Will the recipes work for me? – Yes. Personally, I decided to stop labelling my eating style years ago because I realised it fluctuates according the my body’s requirements. That being said, all the recipes are clearly labelled and you can easily substitute ingredients to suit your eating specific genre. 

 

  • Can the recipes reeeally be made in 5 minutes?   Yes, yes and yes. Unless you include the actual eating time, in which case you’d better stretch it out to 6 minutes.  

 

  • I’m no Masterchef. Are the recipes easy? – Let me put it this way… coming from someone who carries the world title of “Biggest Dumb-ass In The Kitchen” I can assure you each recipe is big on simplicity and flavour. 

 

  • What kind of results can I expect?   Just like a great gourmet pizza, great results take time. That means the more you show up as yourself, the happier you will be. If you’re fed up with your current situation, all you have to do is make one small change per week and you will see phenomenal results in your health, your energy levels, the way you feel around food.
