I’ve played many roles in my life… most of them fake and phony.
I was too afraid of letting MY light shine for fear of dulling the light of others.
Because I wanted to be liked.
I was prepared to play small, to smile sweetly and simply agree with others, even when things were being said and done that I didn’t agree with.
I’ve been a “people pleaser” all of my life. Everyone around me was happy, but I was dying inside. Well, today I’m here to tell you that is not the way to play the game of life.
You have to be prepared to be YOUR true, authentic self; to walk YOUR path… the path that feels right for you and your Soul, regardless of the reactions or responses of others.
If you lose “friends” along the way (and let me assure you, you probably will), then just smile sweetly and wave them goodbye because they were never going to be there for the long haul anyway.
The MOST important thing is to love YOURSELF.
If you’re struggling with your weight, you can bet your bottom dollar that a good “fat” (pardon the pun!) part of the problem is because you don’t love and respect yourself to the degree that you deserve.
You are a unique, shining being of absolute glorious beauty. Nobody has the right to make you feel anything less.
So today, when you look in the mirror, I want you to give yourself a wink and a smile and know that you’re okay EXACTLY as you are right now. This is YOUR journey. Don’t let anybody make you feel inferior or less that you deserve.
