You know what's also bullsh^t? Dieting bc your whole life is one long fking DIET.
Honey, I spent 30 YEARS on the diet merry-go-round.
I poured hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into my weight loss journey and all I got was FATTER.
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that slapping another bandaid on a dysfunctional relationship with food does not work.
It took me yeeeaaarrrsss to get it through my weeny skull that diets were the PROBLEM, not the SOLUTION.
So, rather than play swapsies with our latest weight loss struggles, here are some of the things I do NOW that have helped me shed 8kg this year…
• I ONLY EAT WHEN I'M HUNGRY
This isn't rocket science, honey. If you're not hungry, your body doesn't need food!
• I DECIDE WHAT I WILL EAT FOR THE DAY THEN I STICK TO IT
Basically, I make a simple daily plan for my food each day. This is not about restriction or deprivation. It's about integrity. Something us fad-dieters have lost.
• I STOP EATING BEFORE I FEEL STUFFED
Pretty self-explanatory really. Stop overeating and you'll lose weight.
• I STOPPED USING FOOD AS A WAY TO ESCAPE MY 💩 LIFE
Huge point. Emotional eating was my jam. I get it. This one can be tough.
• I STARTED ACTING LIKE THE PERSON I WANTED TO BECOME
I stopped waiting to get "there" and I asked myself... "if I was ALREADY there, what would I be doing?" Now, do those things.
