Why You Keep Overeating At Night

This week we're talking about the sneaky little lies that are keeping you overweight and how you can recognise and reverse them

Let's talk about reason #103 why you keep overeating at night... "banking calories".

"I haven't eaten all day so I DESERVE this"⁠
"I haven't eaten all day so I can AFFORD to eat this"⁠
"I haven't eaten all day so I can SPLURGE now"⁠

*insert whiney voice here*

Straight up, banking calories is not a thing. You can't "save now, spend later" when it comes to calories and what you eat. Your body needs sufficient calories all throughout the day so it can function efficiently. And if you don't give it those calories when it needs them, it will force you to eat tsunami-sized portions of food to compensate.

Here's what you should do instead:⁠

1. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. ⁠
You might be busy with kids, meetings etc, but it only takes a moment to check-in and see how you're feeling.⁠

2. IF YOU'RE HUNGRY, E.A.T!!⁠
This is not rocket science. What do you feel like eating at that moment? Honour your body's needs. It's here to support you for the long haul. Respect that.⁠

3. YOU DESERVE TO EAT WHAT YOU ENJOY.⁠
You don't have to bank calories or wait for a special occasion to eat the doughnut. If you want it, eat it and enjoy it. The doughnut does not mean you have "ruined" your eating or "failed". It's just a doughnut. Enjoy it for what it is and move the fu*k on.⁠

There is never going to be a "right time" to deal with your emotional eating. There is just time and you choose what to do with it.⁠⁠

It won't be easier tomorrow.⁠⁠
It won't be easier next week.⁠⁠
And it definitely won't be easier next month.⁠⁠

I want to be clear, you can't (and won't) do it before you're ready. That's okay, too. But you will need to push yourself *a little*.

Want a life and body that feels easy and not stressy?⁠ You gotta step up, girl.

It's not going to feel good, but that's what growing and becoming an even more amazing wife/mother/partner/woman looks like!

STEP 1 - What are you willing to DO to make your relationship with food (or anything) the way you want it?⁠⁠

STEP 2 - What are you willing to STOP doing to have things the way you want it?⁠⁠
⁠⁠
STEP 3 - How can you do what's necessary to get the job done AND enjoy the process? (and p.s. there are a million options here)⁠⁠

Remember, the feelings you get from eating when you're not hungry are only a temporary escape. Changing your relationship with yourself lasts a lifetime.

Why? Because when it’s over you will either love me or you will hate me but you will NOT be confused which one. 

I’m tired of pussy footing around with this weight loss thing. The whole “body love” movement has you thinking you should stay EXACTLY as you are and if you don’t? Then you don’t really love yourself.

I CALL B.S. ON THAT!!!

I say, that if you don’t STEP UP and CLAIM the body that you KNOW you want, then you DON’T love yourself!

Women have been made to feel like garbage from the time the first hairy knuckled dude grunted at his women who was sweeping out the cave. 

That was fine THEN. It’s NOT fine now!

I’m creating a movement. A movement that will create WAVES OF CHANGE in the way women SEE, THINK and FEEL about themselves, that will ripple out to all corners of the globe.

 

I AM HERE TO UNITE WOMEN WITH THEMSELVES AND WITH EACH OTHER. 

I AM HERE TO CREATE A TRIBE OF EMPOWERED WOMEN WHO WILL CHANGE THE WORLD. 

 

This is not a maybe, kinda, sorta thing.

No. 

This is a FOR or AGAINST thing. 

You are either WITH me, or you’re AGAINST me. 

You either join me as part of the SOLUTION or remain part of the PROBLEM.

The choice is yours. 

And I don’t care either way. But let me be VERY CLEAR….

Either you join forces with me to EMPOWER YOURSELF and other women for CHANGE or there is simply no place for you in this community. 

Simple. There’s the door. Use it.

I WILL BE IMPACTING AND EMPOWERING THE LIVES OF ONE MILLION WOMEN AND CHILDREN OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS. 

 

I have no time for fence sitters.  Sure, the VIEW is nice from up there… but what are you DOING to impact and empower another person’s life? Let alone your own??!!

There are big things coming for those who are willing to step up. 

But the gold isn’t just going to rain out of the sky and onto your neatly pressed Calvin Jeans. 

You have to DECIDE.  Are you IN or are you OUT?

It’s time to SAY YES. 

YES to being YOU without FEAR, SHAME or APOLOGY.

YES to wearing clothes YOU like.

YES to loving yourself with food instead of keeping yourself TRAPPED in a body you can barely stand to LOOK AT, let alone LIVE IN.

YES to raising other women up HIGHER, instead of pushing them down LOWER.

YES to SELF LOVE.

YES to TIME FOR YOU. 

And most of all…

YES to SPREADING the message, CONNECTING women globally and EMPOWERING each other to create a RIPPLE EFFECT that touches all corners of the globe!
