Why Body Love Is BS
And here’s how you can stop trying to “love yourself skinny.”
On one hand, you have the diet industry telling you that your body weight is the entire source of your pain and suffering, and if only you could lose the weight, you would suddenly find yourself in a size 8 body, running along the beach with a sexy man (no sunscreen or hat, of course. That would mess with the fantasy)…
While simultaneously, you have the Instagram #bodylove Influencers (who BTW are all starting to lose weight, but that’s a whole other topic) telling you to love your rolls and eat more ice cream!
But what if you don’t WANT to love your rolls?
Is weight loss off limits now?
Are we seriously supposed to have our cake and eat it too?
You simply CANNOT love a body that:
- Is holding you back from doing the physical activities you would like to do and…
- Does NOT look attractive to you in the mirror
Does that mean your body isn’t attractive?
It means that you don’t THINK your body is attractive.
And your thoughts (hold onto your britches, this is about to get big…) come from your BELIEFS.
Change your BELIEFS and you automatically change your thoughts which will upgrade your actions.
Nothing complicated about it.
No carb trackers.
No body-love seminars.
Just you. Alone with your thoughts.
Maybe THAT’S what you’ve been afraid of all along?
Remember, the only person who has the power to change your life is you. And you DO have what it takes.
