This is why Body Love is BS
A friend of mine started the body love conversation today and I shared my thoughts (which I’ve voiced many times on many Livestreams)
And my belief? is that Body love is BS.
Trying to whittle yourself down to a non-sustainable weight in order to be acceptable is NOT self love OR body love
Simultaneously, stuffing yourself with cake to prove you LOVE YOURSELF? Also NOT self love or body love!!!
I believe that honouring yourself, your body, LIVING, EATING and MOVING with INTEGRITY IS self love AND body love.
I believe self love and body love go hand in hand. You cannot separate the two.
I don’t believe you ARE your body, but I respect mine enough to know that unless I take care of it, I do not feel good about mySELF.
If that means that your body does not settle at the weight of an emaciated whippet, you need to be ok with that. It is not a reflection of your worth as a human being.
Likewise, if you’re staggering around in a sugar haze and living in a body that is uncomfortable for you to move in simply to prove that you can, that is also defeating the purpose of what I believe TRUE self love and body love is about.

Because success is any area of life requires flexibility, accountability and responsibility.
You have to be FLEXIBLE if you want to see results.
You have to stay ACCOUNTABLE to yourself and be RESPONSIBLE with and for your choices.
You simply can’t blame other people, events or food for your results (or lack thereof)
