If you think it’s “bad” to overeat, think again.
I’m about to tell you exactly why you should overeat.
You’ve done the meditation and the journalling.
You’ve tried bending yourself into the shape of a pretzel in your fancy, hip yoga class but as of right now, you still want to eat cheesecake more than you want to take your next breath.
It’s okay.
Sometimes you just need the food.
And not only is it okay, it’s ESSENTIAL to your progress.
You need contrast. You need to know what you DON’T want in order to find what you do.
You need to allow yourself to eat the cheesecake. Cry. Wander off and then wander back. It’s okay. It’s ALL okay.
You are unique. You are sublime. And you are ALLOWED to feel all that life has for you.
And sometimes that’s cheesecake and sometimes it’s not, but BOTH of them are okay.
The minute we stop judging ourselves for our food choices, things start to get a whooooole lotta easy.
YOU are the only one who labels feelings, experiences, emotions and yes, FOOD, as “good” or “bad”. No one else. Only YOU.
Which means you also have the power to change it.
The power to wallow AND the power to rise.
It’s all yours. Take it.
We have a gift now. The start of a new year. A clean slate.
Don’t attach more meaning to it than it deserves but don’t squander it either.
When you win in life, it’s because of what you know.
When you fail, it’s because if what you DON’T know.
So instead of asking yourself how to find your mojo, stop bingeing and get those last 5, 10 or 50 kilos off your booty, instead try asking yourself who you need to be in order to achieve and effortlessly maintain what you want?
Remember, you don’t get in life what you want, you get in life WHO YOU ARE…
I want to be brave and bold.
I want to be MORE than I was last year in EVERY way.
Happier (even in the mucho frustrating times), softer and kinder to myself.
I want spontaneity and rest. I want joy. I want love.
And most of all… I want to be able to stand next to a chocolate cake without wishing I could roll around in it naked (yes, sometimes I still want that)
So I’m asking you today… who do you want to be?
Comment below, share this post with a friend (or a frenemy. Either way is fine) and then TAKE IT for 2016.
Let’s do it together!
Big love
Kylie
